Oh, THAT is awesome! The lighting is great, and the fact that your feet are so far off the ground (I assume it's a self-portrait?) just makes it so very funny! I really do love this one! Great job.
Thx alot guys. This is one of my fav photos I have ever taken I think, and reading the comments make my day.
I have a standard flood light on the floor (left of camera) to light up the front room a bit. I have a 580 EXII on a light stand as high as it will go (7',powered at 1/8th) behind my model (yes me, nice pick kimbo) pointing down, with a green gel on it. The camera is set on timer, and fires the flash in the back room remotely.
I am sitting/wobbling on the edge of a speaker, sitting on top of a wooden crate. My right hand is working overtime trying to keep me balanced, and from toppling over.
From the chosen pic's RAW file (prolly took ~30 shots to find a position that looked ok), I made 4 different JPG's. One tweaked for the jeans, one for the lighting in the back room, one for the front room, and a black and white one.
Comp'd them all together (guessing and tweaking), and ran a highpass filter on the jeans area to get the shadows and texture to pop a little more there.
I can't believe I failed to comment on this one. I absolutely LOVE this photo - fairly simple image that tells an entire story - or at least the first chapter - and makes us want to some back for more! -Kook
I can't believe I forgot to comment on this one; it's one of my favorites of this whole "contest"! I can just see some supernatural force 'bringing you home'!

WoA! Freaking cool shot, man. Love it! I hope, if the theme H2H is what we're doing at the end, I don't get yours. No way could I replicate your work.
Cool Bananas!
Excellent lighting and great effect of being snatched, both feet off the ground...lol. Curious how you did this one? Nice work brother!
The mind boggles. An amazing photo.
This is just so cool. Very nice light setup and very nice action!
Whoa, this photo is so cool. Great lighting, great action, great photo!
The only question is: how? ;)
Wow awesome photo. Inquiring minds what to know how you did it.

This is such a brilliant concept!
An incredible image.
You've practically Photoshopped yourself!
This is GREAT!!!! Thanks for the set up explanation.
Absolutely fabulous. Truly a "wow" image. Great lighting just gives it that extra pizzazz. Very well done.
Great concept, perfect execution! All the work you did in shooting and tweaking this shot really paid off. This is beyond awesome.
