Another twin...

Photobucket

So I had a false alarm at my apartment building, and my buddy was taking pictures as the firemen left the building. For those that don't know me, this will mean nothing, but for those that do, I hope this photo is as shocking to you as it was to me. My actual twin brother, and parents thought this was a photo of me, or at least faked in photoshop. Too weird.

Inner Chaos

So, it's been a long time since I added any images to this thing, so here are a couple of recent photos that I have entered in various contests over at Worth1000.com.

This is my Round 1 entry for Worth's 2009 Photography HxH elimination tournament. The theme was chaos. The image was created using a long exposure, a moving subject, and an off camera flash fired at key moments. (Photoshop did not create this photo.

Some of my favorite comments received on this image:

"Brilliant, horrific, chaotic madness. WOW."
"This image is disturbing and terrible, and I love it!"
"I knew who shot this even without lookin, You have a very distinct and COOL style"
"Technically good and quite visceral, but I have to say I don't care for the subject at all."

The Illusionist

This image was entered in Worth's Photography Team Challenge, Round 4. The theme was Magic.
If you stare long enough at the smoke in the hat, you will see the rabbit.
(Absolutely a fluke, I'd rather be lucky than good)

The Lure of Easy Money

This is currently the highest scoring Photo in Worth1000.com history.
It was my Round 4 entry in Worth's Photography Team Tourney.

The theme was "Dis 'n Dat", in which the entrants are given a list of items, of which they must use at least two in their photo.
The items I used for my inspiration were "Money" and a "Fish".

OutGrown

This is an older photo, that I found on my harddrive. It was for Worth's Photographer of the Year contest (2008?), and the theme was "Out of Place". My niece gave me this bear, so after the shoot, I washed him off, and he now guards my TV, and is an occasional lighting test subject. :)
